Meara McMahon, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Behavior Analyst
Assistant Professor, Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics
Meara McMahon, PhD, BCBA-D, is a board-certified, doctoral-level behavior analyst who manages day treatment and outpatient cases within the Multidisciplinary Feeding Program at Marcus Autism Center and the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Center for Advanced Pediatrics. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. McMahon’s clinical interests include avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, pediatric feeding disorders and autism spectrum disorder. Her research interests include choice-based antecedent and reinforcement strategies for the prevention of disruptive mealtime behavior.
Dr. McMahon earned her doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral clinical fellowship at Children’s/Emory University School of Medicine within the Multidisciplinary Feeding Program. Dr. McMahon also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Children’s/Emory University School of Medicine within the Severe Behavior Program at Marcus Autism Center.
